COURSE ETIQUETTE
GOLF IS A GAME AND MEANT TO BE ENJOYED BY ALL. IT IS CHALLENGING, AND AT ONCE OBVIOUSLY SIMPLE AND YET SIMPLY ENDLESSLY DIFFICULT.
THERE ARE HOWEVER, A FEW THINGS THAT WILL MAKE GOLF MORE ENJOYABLE FOR ALL WHO PLAY HERE AT OAKBROOK.

Please repair your divots by either replacing the patch of grass you’ve surgically removed or by pouring sand or sand/seed mix into the slash and then press down lightly to smooth it to the height of surrounding area.
REPAIR YOUR DIVOTS
Please rake the bunker after you play out of it. It is so frustrating for any of us to step into play a shot in the bunker and find it in a footprint from someone uncaring or uncivilized enough to rake up their mess.
RAKE THE BUNKER
Place the bunker rake in the bunker near the lower side where you walk out.
LEAVE RAKE IN BUNKER
Upon arrival at the green, mark your ball and repair your pitch mark and as many others as you see, without holding up play. This is common courtesy and appreciated by all who play the game.

Remember all par 3’s are path only 90* for the rest of the course. For example after teeing, travel down the path to where your ball is and then across the rough and fairway to your ball. After hitting, return to the path. Carts should never be off of the path within 20 yards of the greens and tees.
POWER CARTS
Either settle up your bets after the match or on the next tee as your playing partners are teeing off. Please do not do so prior to exiting the green you just completed playing or standing along side of it as you are holding up play.
EXIT THE GREEN PROMPTLY
Whenever possible, after putting out, proceed to the next tee and hit it, while your playing partners are finishing the prior hole. This significantly improves the pace of play for all.
